Selah Creek Application Process
Admission Criteria
- Applicant must be 18 years of age or older
- Applicant must be pregnant or parenting a newborn
- Applicant must be looking for long-term solutions instead of a short-term fix
- Applicants must disclose any physical or mental health issues and are fully committed to taking all prescribed medications.
- If an applicant has a criminal history there can be no charges that indicate a history of violent behaviors, including but not limited to charges such as assault, endangering a child or sexual misconduct.
- Applicant understands that Selah Creek is a home and they will be expected to be active participants in all activities.
- Applicant understands that all rules, regulations and guidelines of Selah Creek must be followed at all times and if not followed disciplinary action leading up to termination will be taken.
Application Process
- Once an application is received, Selah Creek staff will reach out to the applicant to set up an interview. We will also send the applicant a copy of the resident handbook via email.
- Applicants are expected to thoroughly read the resident handbook and come to the interview prepared to discuss the handbook and have any questions they have answered.
- In general, applicants will be interviewed 1-2 times, and this is dependent on their situation
- Staff will reach out to applicants to let them know the decision, in general, within 72 hours.
- If accepted, applicants will be able to move into home immediately.
- If not accepted, applicants will receive a list of other homes and resources.
